Privacy Notice

I value privacy in the same way I value good communication: clear, minimal, purposeful. Below you’ll find a straightforward explanation of what data is processed on this website and why.

1. Controller

Alicja Copija
Dottistr. 15

Germany

Email: contact@alicjacopija.com

I am the person responsible for data protection matters on this website.

2. Website Hosting (Wix.com)

This website is hosted by:

Wix.com Ltd.
40 Namal Tel Aviv St.
Tel Aviv 6350671
Israel

Wix processes data in the EU, Israel, and the United States. Israel is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.

Like most hosting providers, Wix automatically collects certain technical information to ensure the website works securely and reliably. This includes:

  • Browser and version

  • Operating system

  • Referrer URL

  • Time of server request

  • IP address

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - my legitimate interest in providing a stable and secure website.

3. Contact Form

If you choose to contact me through the form on this website, I process the information you provide:

Your name

Your email

Your message

I use this information solely to respond to your request.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary to handle your inquiry and any steps connected to it.

I do not share this data with third parties. I store the data only for as long as it's needed for the purpose.

4. Cookies and Tracking

I do not use analytics tools, marketing cookies, tracking technologies, or any optional cookies.

Wix may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site functioning (e.g., session or security-related cookies).
These are essential for the technical operation of the site and are allowed under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR without requiring consent.

Nothing beyond that is used.

5. Newsletter & Digital Content

When you sign up for a guide or template, we enter into a small agreement. Instead of paying with money, you’regiving me your permission to join my mailing list.

What we do: We use your name and email to send you the file you asked for, plus regular updates, career tips, and news about my coaching services.

The Legal Bit (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR): We process your data because it’s necessary to fulfill this agreement.

Proving it's you (Double Opt-In): To make sure nobody else signed you up, we send a confirmation link. We save the technical details of when you clicked it (like your IP and time) because the law requires us to be able to prove that you actually wanted to join. (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

Your Choice: You can leave at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email.

6. Email Marketing with Brevo

To make sure my emails look great and actually reach your inbox, I use a service called Brevo.

Our Partner: Brevo is based in Germany and follows strict privacy rules. I’ve signed a formal agreement with them to ensure they handle your data safely.

Learning what you like: My marketing emails contain a tiny invisible graphic that tells me if the email was opened or if a link was clicked. This helps me understand which topics you find helpful so I can send you more of what you like and less of what you don’t.

Privacy First: If you don’t want this tracking, you can simply unsubscribe. You can read more in Brevo's own privacy policy here.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Access to your personal data

Correction of inaccurate data

Deletion of your data

Restriction of processing

Data portability

Objection to processing

If you want to exercise any of these rights, just contact me using the details above.

8. Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For Berlin, this is:

Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information
Alt-Moabit 59–61
10555 Berlin
Germany
https://www.datenschutz-berlin.de/

9. Updates

I may adjust this Privacy Notice occasionally to reflect legal or technical changes. Any updates will be published here so you always know what’s happening with your data.
